Sentinel is a game developed by BloxByte Games. It is a wave-based tower defense game, with FPS-related mechanics.
Gameplay[]
Sentinel's gameplay involves rounds divided into 7 waves of bosses, which the Player must defeat in order to protect the Core on the map. Various tools are given in order to assist with this task, consisting of Guns and Melee weapons, with the end goal being of lasting as long as you can along with other Players.
To reload your ammo, the Player must rely on Scraps, obtained from killing Robots, and go to the Upgrade Pod to reload. Scraps can also be used to build Blueprints, to build barricades, walls, and traps against enemies. Also dropped along with Scraps are Parts, which can be used to upgrade Weapons also at the Upgrade Pod.
Guns can be obtained from Player levelling and the Credit system in the Career menu. They each have three characteristics; Level (how much damage a gun inflicts, matched by the Player's level), Grade (how well-built it is), and Variants (a unique effect the Gun has). Guns, along with other weapons, also have Masteries, which allow the Player to gain extra perks from using a certain weapon if they use it constantly. This includes upgrades stats to the item, better rewards, and weapon skins.
The Market menu on the Main screen allows Players to buy "Featured Items", Robux-paid items, and Item Caches. Item Caches are crates adjacent to the ones in Ghost Simulator; you pay a certain amount and get a random item. Currenly, there is a Weapon Skin Cache, a Charm Cache, a Drone Cache, and a Character Cache.
Linked to the Market is the Black Market. The Black Market allows Players to buy Blueprints, Guns, Cosmetics, Limited Items, and more. It also allows the Player to see their history of items they've obtained, and buy additional copies of already-owned items.
