The Great Guardian is a Mega Boss added in update 1.18.0 that is unlocked with Gatekeeper's Guardian's Key. Defeating this boss will drop a Keydrive that can then be used to unbox Great Guardian Chests back at the waiting room.
Attacks[]
The Great Guardian has various attacks that can fill up the player's corruption bar. If the player's corruption bar reaches 100%, the screen fades out and the player exits the arena. As it becomes more damaged, the difficulty and intensity of attacks increase.
Phase 1[]
The Great Guardian begins the battle in phase 1. It has the following attacks:
- The Great Guardian will flip on its head and spins towards a random player. Any player that gets hit will take 10% corruption damage once and be knocked back.
- The Great Guardian will activate its shoulder turrets to fire 6 fast laser bolts at random players. The player will take 1% corruption damage if hit by a purple laser, and 4% corruption damage if hit by a green laser.
Phase 2[]
The Great Guardian enters phase 2 at 66-67% HP. It gains the following attacks (in addition to previous attacks):
- The Great Guardian lifts its hand up and grabs a random player with a tractor beam. If the player remains on the ground before the traction beam hits them (or the possibility of the hoverboard getting stuck on the ground), they wouldn't dragged in instantly. Otherwise, they will be pulled in quickly and will take 35% corruption damage.
- If the shield breaks before the shot barrage begins, the caught player won't take any further damage.
- The Great Guardian puts its hammer onto the floor and spins around, causing 10 white "blades" to clockwise-swirl outwards from it. If players are too low to the ground (the hoverboard is unequipped or just landing with the hoverboard) and got hit by one of the "blades", they take 15% corruption damage.
- The Great Guardian will slam the ground with its hammer. If players are too low to the ground (the hoverboard is unequipped or just landing with the hoverboard). They will take 7% corruption damage.
Phase 3[]
The Great Guardian enters phase 3 at 33-34% HP. It gains the following attacks (in addition to previous attacks):
- The Great Guardian's laser attack will now fire 12 bolts instead of 6 bolts.
- The Great Guardian shoots a purple laser from its eyes targeting a random player. The laser sweeps the area in front of the mega boss and is harder to avoid further away. When struck by the purple laser, any player will take constant corruption damage(1% per 0.2 seconds).
