The Final Boss is a mega-boss located in the BloxByte HQ. It was released in v1.57.0.

The Final Boss fight consists of five phases. In each phase, the player must destroy the Final Boss' shield and attack the boss until the health bar reaches 1%. The phases become progressively more difficult as different attacks are introduced and advantages, such as Hoverboards and the Jetpack, are taken away.

For solo play it takes 20 hits to destroy a pillar or an eye, all 3 pillars/eyes need to be destroyed to take out the shield. It then takes 50 more hits on the boss to advance to the next phase.

If multiple players are joining, the hit requirements are multiplied by the number of players. For example, if 3 players fight the boss together, it will take 60 total hits from any player to destroy a pillar, and 150 hits to the boss to advance.

The Final Boss does not have corruption, but its attacks will stun the player for a few seconds. Players have a time limit of 17 minutes and 30 seconds to complete the first 4 and a half stages of the boss fight, which afterward gets set to 2 minutes and 30 seconds for the 2nd half of the final phase, if at anytime the players run out of time they end up losing the fight and get sent back to the lobby.

First Phase[]

In the first phase, players must destroy all three pillars by aiming at its center orb until they are all defeated. Afterwards, the players are able to directly attack the Final Boss's shield. Players are also accompanied by the Agents of Luna NPCs. The following attacks used are as follows:

  • The boss swings its sword.
  • The boss throws its sword at the player.
  • The boss fires a series of 10 green beams randomly with a larger than indicated proximity explosions that can happen without the beam hitting anything.
  • The boss will move out of range high in the air. A series of colorful balls will appear from the side of the battlefield, which will stun the player if they are touched.
  • The boss chases the players, swinging its sword.

Second Phase[]

In the second phase, players lose the ability to use their jetpack. Ghost will also start spawning and firing orbs at the player, which can be avoided by vacuuming the ghosts. Otherwise, no new attacks are introduced.

Third Phase[]

In the third phase, players lose the ability to use their hoverboard. The NPCs will "retreat to the upper levels", where they will assist the player from above. The third phase also removes the pillars from the previous two phases, and replaces them with three eyeballs orbiting the boss, to which the player must destroy. Furthermore, the following attacks are introduced.

  • The boss will leap into the air and strike a certain player.
  • The boss will cause several swords to fall from above in rapid succession. This dulls down slightly in Phase 4 and then intensifies greatly in the entirety of Phase 5.
  • The boss fires a green laser at a specific player, which will follow the player, rendering them unable to move.
  • Lava will rise from the floor. Players must reach one of the platforms that rise with the lava in order to avoid this attack. Those that didn't are heavily penalized by being locked from shooting for a longer time.
  • Balls that get sent out are bigger.

Fourth Phase[]

In the fourth phase, players will lose the NPCs for assistance, being stored away by the Developers. Again, players must destroy all three eyeballs to destroy the shield. Otherwise, no new attacks are introduced.

Fifth Phase[]

In the fifth and final phase players lose their interface, meaning they will not be able to view the boss' health bar and access their gum. They can still use Gum afterwards if they have gotten Ghost Hunter Old Gran's Gum Hotkey. A physical timer will appear which shows the time limit. Players must now directly attack the boss' shield to destroy it. Also, the following attacks are introduced:

  • The boss greatly enlarges its sword and swings it across most of the arena twice before slamming down vertically. Anyone caught in any of the 3 attacks and the 3rd's mist will be locked from shooting for a longer while.
  • The boss throws a sword at the timer, breaking it and "freezing time," rendering the players unable to move. The boss will then go to 2 players and strike them, anyone within proximity of the strike will also be stunned.
  • The boss causes the camera to zoom in, which does not directly affect the player's ability to attack, but makes it more difficult for the player to see the boss(especially when Auto Shield Blaster is rendered useless after this final shield breaks)

When the shield is destroyed, the boss removes the world; the battlefield becomes an empty black space. The player must finish the battle before the timer runs out. The timer is also set to 2:30, or 2 minutes and 30 seconds(Boss invulnerability during cutscenes will fade at 2:21.50 or 2 mins 21.5s), regardless of where it was at before (this can gain players time for the last phase).

Post-Battle[]

Upon defeating the boss, a portal will open leading them back to the BloxByte HQ lobby. The player also receives a BloxByte Key, which can unlock one of the chests in the lobby.

Developer Didi1147 I wonder how strong you’ll be when you don’t have your interface to guide you! (Phase 4 is cleared. The Interface breaks apart and falls after yet another yellow explosion, subsequently being disabled for all players within the fight. A lightning bolt strikes The Final Boss before it shields up a final time.)

(The shield breaks. The Final Boss slams the ground causing darkness to cover all the surfaces of the arena, timer moves forward and turns red.)
Developer Goro7 Oh, and let’s make things even more fun... TIME ACCELERATION! INITIATE! (Timer get adjusted to the final 2:30)
Developer Goro7 Time is running out player... Soon you... and this entire game will be deleted!!! (When The Final Boss resumes attacking around 2:22)
Developer Goro7 Its finally time... Your data is ready! Prep Player Deletion Sequence... (When there's 1:50 left on the timer)

Thanks goodness you’re okay! AND YOU WON! We’re all okay and safe outside!

(The Agents have returned, facing the player.)
Blaze will be waiting for you in the Backdoor! Talk to him when you get out... we all want to thank you for everything you did for us!
Thank you Agents! From the bottom of our programming, we thank you!!! (The Agents exit through the portal to the Backdoor.)

(The Battle has ended, reverting back the changes made over the fight. A lootbag containing the BloxByte Key gets dropped, and going into the portal warps players back to the lobby.)

Developer Goro7 Player termination complete. It was a nice try... (The screen fades to black.)

(The player is then transported back into the lobby.)

Useful Abilities[]

Ghost Hunter Riley's Jetpack and Ghost Hunter Adam's Hoverboard abilities will be disabled after the health bars for Phases 1 and 2 are depleted respectively, and subsequently both along with Ghost Hunter Yoko's Hoverboard Turbocharger are rendered useless for the remainder of the fight.

  • Photon Blaster - Needed for damaging the shielding mechanisms and the megaboss itself (Already given by Gatekeeper at this point)
  • Overcharge - Can be timed to blast off 5 hits worth off the health bars once Final Boss exits invulnerability states like the ball attack in first 4 phases and a few seconds after the final countdown begins (Given by Ghost Hunter Rowan)
  • Gum Hotkey - Extremely critical for any gum usage after Phase 4 since the inventory tabs will be disabled then, notably Zoom and Bunny Gum for mobility and maybe Boss Gum for extra drops at the very end of Phase 5. Do note that the gum selected will be locked in for the entirety of Phase 5. (Given by Ghost Hunter Old Gran)
  • Parachute - Can be used to dodge some attacks or reach the stone pillars in 3rd phase quickly but may cause some photon shots to hit the floor on landing. (Given by Remnant Spades)
  • Auto Shield Blaster - Can blast the shielding mechanisms as long as user doesn't get struck by the attacks, must re-target if got hit (Given by Associate Archie after beating Remnant Guardian at least once)

Trivia[]

  • There is a pet version of this boss called Mini Final, obtained with 50 BloxByte Keys.
  • During v1.121.1, a bug occurred where the lava pillars the Final Boss summoned were not collidable. This was fixed in v1.125.0.
  • It is the only boss to not give Ectoplasm or drain your battery.
  • As of v1.166.0 the Pet Experience received by each pet from defeating this boss was doubled from 250 to 500.
