Remnant Gum is a Gum that allows you to see hidden messages (known as "remnants"), and Remnant Orbs around certain worlds. These messages are tied into the 2nd Arc Storyline, even though they don’t require rebirths, because 2nd Arc NPCs that do require rebirths (such as Associate Riley) mention and question them.
It should also be noted that you cannot use this gum in the BloxByte HQ or the Void, as there are no messages hidden there. Messages can only be found in the Main Hub, Ghost World, and the Backdoor (see below).
During the 100th Update Event, Shelly rewarded 20 Remnant Gum to assist with collecting Remnant Orbs, in order to get the Party Key. Agent Riley also rewards 10 Remnant Gum to find Remnant Orbs for her quest, though Riley's questline is permanent.
Note: There was previously a blacklight effect on the player's screen when using this gum. In v1.102.0, the effect was replaced with blobs on the edges of the player's screen that change color, as people found it difficult to see the remnants' text and Remnant Orbs.
