Rebirths

Rebirths were released in v1.77.0, and are obtained by jumping into the void portal behind ??? after completing ???'s questline in The Void. The player can choose a permanent perk that improves aspects of gameplay in exchage for resetting most of your progress (see "Kept vs. Reset" below for more information). After rebirthing once, new NPCs (known under the organizations AoF and RAM) and a new world (The Remnant Zone) will be available as part of the 2nd Arc Storyline, which canonically occurs after the events in The Void.

Rebirthing will consume all your current gems and give you a gem bonus for them, with a max bonus of 10%. Around 115 million gems will convert to 10%, and anything over that will be lost. It is recommended that you utilize the remaining gems before rebirthing.

Kept vs Reset[]

"Rebirthing resets most of your quests with their unlocks and quest-related items, all vacuums/disruptors, packs/batteries, currencies, Gems, and Antenna Levels in exchange for the above perk (a permanent perk). You will keep your index, pets, hoverboards, most items (tradable items such as gum), and premium purchases."

You've reached the end of this world... the Final Void, but your adventure is not over yet...

When you choose, you will be reborn into the world of Ghost Simulator, but you may notice that some things are not quite the same.

One-Time Perks[]

Perks that can only be selected once. The one-time perks are considered the best perks to start with as they affect gameplay the most.

Ghostly Vision	Allows you to see and vacuum up previously invisible mini-bosses in each world. Each mini-boss drops a unique lootbag that may contain Gems, Boss Bait, one of two Hoverboards, or a Pet. Can only be selected once.
Lucky Eyes	Allows you to see and vaccum up a rare loot ghost found in any world. The loot ghost drops a bag containing lots of Gems, as well as a chance to contain Crate Keys, a Pet, or a Hoverboard. Can only be selected once.
Master Hunter	Gives you 2 additional vacuum streams permanently. Stacks with Captain Finsley's multi-stream buff. Can only be selected once.
Quantum Unboxing	Harnessing the power of quantum mechanics, you can explore more unboxing options to get more out of crate! This technology is still new, so expect some instability. When not under active supervision, the quantum effects are less noticeable. Can only be selected once.

Multi-Time Perks[]

Pet Evolution	Gives all current and future pets evolved powers, increasing all stats by 5%, giving a 5% chance of double pet XP (up to 100%), and increasing max level by 1 (up to level 20). Can be selected multiple times. Further selections of this perk will increase pet stats additively (i.e. selecting this perk 3 times will increase pet stats by 15%).
Accelerated Parts	Accelerates your vacuum, increasing speed by 10%, range by 4% (up to 20%), and photon speed by 2% (max 10%). Can be selected multiple times. Further selections of this perk will increase your vacuum speed additively (i.e. selecting this perk 3 times will increase vacuum speed by 30%).
Divine Reward	Group of rebirth perks that add a Divine-rarity Pet and Hoverboard set to the Player's inventory. The Pet has a base vacuum speed of x176.50 and conversion boost of x152.20. Can each be selected multiple times. Oculus Set - Adds the first Divine-rarity set, Oculus Overseer and Ghostly Glider, to the Player's inventory. Spirit Set - Adds the second Divine-rarity set, Spirit Seer and Spirit Flight, to the Player's inventory. Flaming Set - Adds the 3rd Divine-rarity set, Infernal Seer and Valiant Stinger, to the Player's inventory.
Key Hack Pack	Hacks a pack of 100 Crate Keys into your inventory (non-tradable). Can be selected multiple times.

Universal Tycoon[]

Universal Tycoon is one of the multi-time perks.

Universal Tycoon	Improves your conversion rate for ALL currencies by 5% and a chosen currency by an extra 10% boost (currency can be re-chosen every rebirth). Can be selected multiple times. Further selections of this perk will increase your conversion rate additively (i.e. selecting this perk 3 times will increase your conversion rate for ALL currencies by 15% and your conversion rate for a chosen currency by an extra 30% adding up to 45%).
Selecting Universal Tycoon allows you to select a currency to get an extra 10% boost (currency can be re-chosen every rebirth):
Token Collector	Improves your conversion rate for Ecto-Tokens by an extra 10%. Can be selected multiple times. Further selections of this currency will increase your conversion rate additively (i.e. selecting this perk 3 times will increase your conversion rate by an extra 30%).
Soul Wielder	Improves your conversion rate for Souls by an extra 10%. Can be selected multiple times. Further selections of this currency will increase your conversion rate additively (i.e. selecting this perk 3 times will increase your conversion rate by an extra 30%).
Ecto-Bit Converter	Improves your conversion rate for Ecto-Bits by an extra 10%. Can be selected multiple times. Further selections of this currency will increase your conversion rate additively (i.e. selecting this perk 3 times will increase your conversion rate by an extra 30%).
Rem Summoner	Improves your conversion rate for Rem Coins by an extra 10%. Can be selected multiple times. Further selections of this currency will increase your conversion rate additively (i.e. selecting this perk 3 times will increase your conversion rate by an extra 30%).

Unlockable Boards[]

Rebirth Boards can be obtained by rebirthing the board's required amount of times. They are found in the unlockables section of your Hoverboard inventory.

Trivia[]

11 NPCs are required to rebirth: Ghost Hunter Adam (due to Board Crates being required for Agent Blaze), Gatekeeper, Ghost Hunter Leo, Ghost Hunter Yoko, Agent Blaze, Developer CovenK, Developer Thexz, Developer MakkieMon, Developer Didi1147, Developer Goro7, Rebirth NPC.
In v1.102.0, the 2nd Arc Storyline rebirth perk was removed, being replaced with unlocking the 2nd Arc Storyline by rebirthing once with any perk chosen. The Key Hack Pack perk was given as compensation for those who originally chose the 2nd Arc Storyline perk.
As of v1.152.0, completing ???'s first quest will display the time taken to do so from the last Rebirth.
In v1.166.0, the four Tycoon perks (Ecto Tycoon, Soul Tycoon, Bit Tycoon, and Rem Tycoon) were merged into the Universal Tycoon rebirth perk.
In v1.166.0, the Re-Spec Station was added to the Forest which let the Player change their Rebirth Choices for the Tycoons, Pet Evolutions, Accelerated Parts and Key Hack Pack (only if the Player had the required 100 Crate Keys per to give up).
As of v1.172.0, Players can skip the lines in the monologue by ??? played during the Void Cutscene, similar to skipping an NPC's dialogue, when Players jump into the vortex in the void after completing ???'s first quest.
In v1.180.0, Quantum Unboxing was added as a One-Time Rebirth Perk.
In the Void Cutscene, a different monologue is played for Players who are rebirthing for the first time.
