The Insufficient Antenna Effect occurs when a player enters a biome that their antenna is underleveled. This effect prevents players from skipping ahead and not going in order.

The Insufficient Antenna Effect is cancelled immediately upon exiting a biome that causes it or upgrading the Antenna in a biome that would now be appropriate for the Antenna level.

Penalties[]

When the Insufficient Antenna Effect has been triggered, the following is a list of penalties that the player will suffer while this is active:

  • Most noticeably, the field of vision decreases heavily and anything far away will appear as black in most worlds, while purple in Remnant Zone. There are also smoke particles that fly across the screen.
  • The player will also cover their face with their hands.
    • Because the player covers their face, the Vacuum (or the Disruptor in the Backdoor) will be disabled meaning it will not be able to be pulled out.
  • Regardless of world, the music will changed into "You Shouldn't Be Here" by BSlick.
  • There will also be a notification at the bottom of the screen, saying "This biome requires a level (number) Antenna!" the number depending on the biome you initially entered that caused the Insufficient Antenna Effect.

Abilities Retained[]

  • If the hoverboard is unlocked, it can be used within the Biome's Insufficient Antenna Effect.
  • Gum is still useable
  • Interactions with settings, trade, inventory, and anything that involves the UI except for the vacuum/disruptor.
  • If the supplies have been accomplished, the player may also upgrade their Antenna.
  • Player may still teleport back to the Lab by hitting Sell (or Charge in Backdoor) or teleport to previously unlocked Biomes through Remote Teleporter.
