The Haunted Tower (2022) was a series of 6 floors filled with Halloween Ghosts to defeat, available to play in during the 2022 Halloween Event, with a 30 minute time limit. The Headless Hallow reappeared and was on the 2nd Floor. Frankie reappeared and was on the 4th Floor. Wisp Master was a new Boss and was on the 6th Floor. Each Mega Boss dropped one Ghost Key upon defeat. The Tower was needed to be defeated in order to complete Ghost Hunter Victoria's and Green Knight's questlines and gives 1 Ghost Key upon completion of all 6 floors, totalling 4 Ghost Keys from one run. It can be completed with other players.
Each of the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Floors are randomized mazes, which have randomized numbers of Halloween Ghosts to defeat, somewhere around 30. After defeating all the ghosts in the Floor, you will be prompted to go to an exit room, which teleports the Player to a waiting room. After all the Players have been teleported to the waiting room, a timer is displayed for 20 seconds, until allowing them to enter the proceeding Floor. After defeating the bosses in the 2nd and 4th, a portal will open up to teleport the Players to the proceeding waiting room - after completing the 6th floor, the Tower ends and is counted as defeated. If a Player reaches 100% Corruption, they will be teleported back to the Haunted Forest, and will have lost.
Rooms[]
The rooms are randomized, and connect together to make a maze, from a starting point to an end point. They consist of scattered bones, candles, jack-o-lanterns, overgrowing vines or moss, varieties of vases, cages and manholes with lava glowing through the hatching. The walls are supported by wooden framework, and the tunnels are lit by old-fashioned torches. The walls and floors are made of cobblestone.
Outside[]
The Tower replaces the area for which "The Hunt" and "The Dungeon" were in previous Halloween events, and resembles an entry into the haunted mansion. It takes 1 minute for the dungeon to let the Players in, and can accept everyone in a server. The Tower is unavailable while Players are currently running through a floor. After V1.94.0, Players were given a 20 second intermission between floors to join the dungeon in the waiting room.
Waiting Room[]
After entering the Tower, or completing a floor, the Players will be teleported into a waiting room so that the next floor can be loaded. It also provides a section of time to recollect. Once the next floor has been loaded, there will be 20 seconds until the doorway to the next floor becomes accessible.
Maze[]
The Maze is comprised of three sections: a starting point, end point, and middle. When teleported into the maze, the Players will come into a room, similar in design to the waiting room, but lighter. The gradient effect on the darkened frame will have an orange hue rather than red. The goal is to reach the end of the maze, which is identical to the starting point, but its darkened frame has a green hue. The end is blocked by a purple barrier which will only give access to the Players if all the ghosts across the Floor have been vacuumed. The middle is comprised of randomised rooms: 4-paths, corridors, and corners - at each wooden frame there is a chance that the door will be blocked, causing a dead end on that specific path.
Arena[]
Instead of being teleported to the maze, on the 2nd, 4th and 6th floors, the Players are teleported to an arena with the Headless Hallow, Frankie, or Wisp Master megabosses. The arena is a large circular room, with one darkened path behind the spawn, and a centre platform that can be utilised to avoid attacks. The room is held up by framework, and several models are scattered around the edges of the room. Like the earlier rooms, the walls and floor are made of cobblestone. After defeating the Mega Boss, a portal will appear that teleports the Players to the next waiting room, or outside the defeated Haunted Tower.
Information about the Mega Boss's attacks can be found on their pages.
