The Gatekeeper is a NPC located in the Haunted Castle biome of the Ghost World. Upon completing his questline, players are given the Datalink, which allows them to upgrade their antenna, and the Photon Blaster, an upgrader that allows them to fight Mega Bosses. He is mandatory for Rebirths.

Must warn human, Mega-Boss is not like other bosses. Human must learn Mega-Boss patterns to win and have help from other humans. Human must also use Photon Blaster to attack from far away. Gatekeeper will give funny looking human special item to advance plot if human beat Mega-Boss. |

- If you are fighting the Great Guardian with another player and you reach 100% corruption, as long as they beat the boss, it will still complete quest #7.
- Gatekeeper is one of the few NPCs that reward you with an item to upgrade your Antenna.
- Gatekeeper is one of the few NPCs to not have a title before their name.
- Gatekeeper used to have a quest where the player required an item from Ghost Hunter Fern's last quest, however it was removed due to too many players complaining it was too hard. As a result of which Fern now gives 25 crate keys and many older players are somewhat annoyed about it.
- Gatekeeper's shirt and pants can be purchased from the BloxByte Games Store.
- Starting in v1.103.0, a small number appeared behind the NPC avatar - this is a clue in the Ghostly Puzzle.
- Lorewise, MakkieMon states that Gatekeeper has two masks, one behind their current one.

- In the BloxByte Games Discord Server, MakkieMon states Gatekeeper wasn't meant to have a brother, but his dialogue was 'swapped around'. As the last two dialogue of his Void Mini Quest introduction are identical to Ghost Hunter Shelly's final two dialogue, presumably these were the lines that were mistakenly added.
