Easter Invasion (2023) popup

See also the 2022 Easter Event's Event, Egg Defense.

The Easter Invasion ran as an Event in the Main Hub during the 2023 Easter Event, and in the Easter Land during the 2024 Easter Event. In this Event, players have to try and defend the Egg Wardstones from the Ghosts that enter from various entrance portals around the arena.

2023[]

Since the 2023 Easter Event occurred in the Main Hub, the 2023 Easter Invasion was added to its Event cycle. It ran in the following order: Boss Event, Invasion Event, Race Event, Invasion Event. Event Bait could have been used to skip the timer and start the next Event. Players could've click "Join" on the popup to join the Invasion.

The Invasion ran in three sizes, affecting the number of waves:

  • Small - 3 waves
  • Medium - 5 waves
  • Large - 10 waves

The Invasion had you defend three giant Egg Wardstones from Ghosts, each Wardstone being identified with a symbol: Pink Diamond, Orange Circle, and Green Triangle. These symbols could have been seen displayed on the Wardstones podium, and as a floating visual indicator to the general direction and distance of the Wardstone. They started at 100% health, which lowered as they got attacked by ghosts. If all three Egg Wardstones dropped to 0%, the Invasion's defense failed, and no keys were rewarded. If they successfully survive the Invasion, then 1 key was rewarded. The Invasion's size did not affect the number of keys rewarded.

At the beginning of each wave, Ghosts spawned at staggered times from three different portals around the map. They followed a navigation path to the nearest active Wardstone. Each ghost dropped 3-7 Easter Eggs, which could have been used at the Easter Shop. At the final wave, a Strawberry Cat with 100 HP would spawn from a portal. Each size of Invasion would have all lesser size's final waves that would spawn a Strawberry Cat in addition to their own (3rd for Small, 3rd and 5th for Medium, 3rd, 5th, and 10th for Large). It dropped more Easter Eggs than the other Ghosts.

2024[]

In the 2024 Easter Event, the Easter Invasion ran in an Arena with a 30 second timer to join. The structure was mostly identical from the last Easter Event; you must defend 3 Egg Wardstones from swarms of Ghosts, and at least have one remaining--if all Wardstones reach 0%, the Invasion will be deemed a loss and you will have to start a new round.

For the 2024 Easter Event, the Invasion map from 2023 returned, albeit with a few changes to its structure. The base map and mechanics stayed the same, with 3 portals spawning Ghosts that attacked the 3 previous Wardstones (labeled with an Orange Circle, a Pink Diamond, and a Green Triangle), but now some of the Ghosts that spawned would become aggressive and start attacking a Player in range, dealing Corruption. Additionally, there were 2 options for difficulty, Easy and Hard, with Hard Mode having more frequent ghost spawns during a wave and a concurrent Boss Fight with Fluffy during the last 3 waves.

For both difficulties, the Ghosts would spawn in 5 different waves, with a gradual increase in Ghost spawns as the waves progressed. In addition to attacking the wardstones, some Ghosts would break off and attack players if they came in range, pathfinding towards the nearest player and shooting projectiles that deal 1% Corruption if they hit a Player. If a player gets out of range, either by moving far enough away or dying, the Ghost will go back to targeting the nearest Wardstone. During the end of Waves 2, 4, and 5, 1-3 Strawberry Cat (Ghost)s will spawn with each having 100 HP, though they will behave like normal Event Ghosts.

Fluffy will spawn at the start of Wave 3 if Players vote to do an Invasion on Hard difficulty. When spawned, it will attack Players like a normal Mega Boss, dealing Corruption when it hits and chasing players around the Invasion map as normal Ghosts continue to spawn. Once Fluffy spawns, the Wave will only progress once Fluffy enters the next health/attack stage (at 66-67% and 33-34%) regardless of whether other Ghosts are left, allowing multiple Waves of ghosts to exist at a time. Wave 5 is exempt from this, as Players will still need to deal with all Ghosts and Fluffy for it to count as a win.

Rewards from this years Invasion were also changed slightly, with an additional wave reward for beating Wave 2 of a Easter Key (2 if a player bought the 2024 Easter Event Pass), along with 2 Keys and 250 Candy Eggs for beating the entire Invasion. These rewards applied to both Easy and Hard Invasions. Additionally, if Players chose Hard, Fluffy would drop 1 Key (2 with Double Boss Drops Gamepass, 3 with the Event Pass, or more if using Boss Gum) when defeated, giving a slight key advantage for Hard. Ghosts defeated during the Invasion would also drop amounts of Candy Eggs, though at a reduced amount from the amount given when vacuuming them in the normal Easter Land.

2025[]

In the 2025 Easter Event the Easter Invasion returned in the same fashion as the one from the previous year with the same Arena and time to join, with the main functions and features staying the same.

Like in the former year, there were 2 options for modes; Easy Mode and Hard Mode, 1+ Rebirths being recommended for Hard Mode. The Ghosts would only attempt to shoot corruption projectiles at the Player once vacuumed and they follow the player away from their Pathway. In Easy Mode, the Ghosts were slow and didn't shoot many Projectiles and were few in between. In Hard Mode, in addition to multiplied Ghost Spawns, there was also a Mega Boss in the center that wouldn't move around and tried to deal Corruption to the Players. The Waves only progressed upon after Meep enters it's next stage (80%, 60%, 40% and 20%). To beat Hard Mode the Player needed to both vacuum the Final Wave while keeping the Egg Monuments safe from destruction and by defeating Meep.

In Hard Mode, Egg-like small podium debuffs were introduced the Meep could randomly summon as one of his attacks, which had semi-transparent chocolate brown lines connecting it and the players which went through walls. This connection made the Players slower on their Hoverboards and on foot. To get rid of these debuffs, the podiums could be vacuumed like a normal ghost. There were 2 variations of it; one with a White Chocolate Egg and a purely Black/Milk Chocolate Podium and another that has a Black/Milk Chocolate Egg and a White and Milk Chocolate designed podium.

The Rewards functioned very similarly to that of the last year, with Waves 2 and 4 giving 1 Cherry Key (2 with the Event Pass) each, and upon completion Easy Mode rewarded 2 Cherry Keys and 3,000 Chicken Eggs, while Hard Mode rewarded 3 Cherry Keys and 5,000 Chicken Eggs. Additionally in Hard Mode, Meep would also drop an extra Cherry Key that can be multiplied by 2x Boss Drops, the Event Pass and Boss Gum. Ghosts in both Modes would drop less Ghosts than in the normal Easter Land.

Trivia[]

  • The Wardstones were designed by Zephirell from the BloxByte Games Discord Server.
    • The Strawberry Cat ghost was designed by S1llyBunny.
  • Originally, the rotation of 2023 Easter Invasion was Boss Event, Race Event, then Invasion Event; this was changed in v1.130.1 due to several complaints from the playerbase.
  • Since the ghosts enter from the same three portals, it is best to station players at each spawn portal.
